Paul and I were married at the Portola Inn on September 5, 2010. It was a wonderful day from beginning to end. The O’Malley’s made everything perfect from the beginning. We told them that we wanted a non-traditional wedding with none of the usual stuffiness. The only tradition was that I would be wearing a wedding gown and there would be a ceremony. Instead of wedding cake we wanted strawberry short cake, s’mores, and candy apples. We also asked the O’Malley’s if we could have a photo booth and they gladly allowed us to have one and it was great! Everyone had a lot of fun with it.
We wanted a casual atmosphere where our guests would have fun and not feel as if they were at a “wedding.” Tom and Peggy made all of our wishes come true.
The O’Malleys met with us on several occasions and handled the “day of” arrangements with all the vendors. They went as far as giving us ideas and suggestions for things we never thought of, or remembered, that needed to be done.
On the day of our wedding we really did nothing but enjoy the most wonderful day of our lives, the O’Malley’s handled everything, all we had to do was show up and try not to end up passing out in front of everyone. It could not have been more perfect. The facility and landscaping were meticulously maintained and the weather was perfect with the golden sunlight streaming down on our ceremony through the oak trees.
With the O’Malley’s, the facilities, and the atmosphere the Portola Inn it is second to none and we highly recommended it. You won’t be disappointed!
